This weekly challenge is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. All you need to do to participate is to answer these three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What will you be reading next?
What I’m currently reading
I’ve started reading a dystopian YA novel by Emily Barr, ‘Things to do Before the End of the World’. I’m teaching ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’ to my Year 8 English class at the moment – so far, so good – and it’s a while since I read it myself, so I’m listening to the audiobook as a recap.

What I recently finished reading
I’ve had a great week of reading, and have given both ‘The Night She Disappeared’ by Lisa Jewell and ‘The Stars’ Tennis Balls’ by Stephen Fry five stars. Click on the captions to read my reviews of these two books.

What I’ll be reading next
Next on my TBR pile is an audiobook that so many people were raving about on their WWW post last week that I hunted it down on NetGalley – I can’t wait to listen to ‘Her Last Holiday’. I’m also trying to read some Middle Grade fiction to give me a feel of what works well for my own fledging novel, so I’ll be trying out ‘Skyborn’ by Sinead O’Hart.

Good luck, I am about to post my post about this right now

Thank you, I’m surprised by how much my Year 8s are getting into it. I think they like all the melodrama!

So glad you enjoyed your reads this week! The Stephen Fry book seems a bit outside my normal reading interests, but I think it looks pretty good. Happy reading!
