This weekly challenge is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. All you need to do to participate is to answer these three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What will you be reading next?
What I’m currently reading
Im late to the party today with my WWW Wednesday- I’ve been ridiculously busy this week, and have really struggled to find time for reading. My daughter’s away on a school trip this week, so ‘The Grave Digger’ has been shelved for a few days, and I’ve been listening to ‘Sheltering Rain’ by Jojo Moyes. I’ve started reading ‘Hexed’ Julia Taff’s, but I’m not getting on with it so far. On a positive, ‘The First Day of Spring’ however is great so far.

What I recently finished reading
‘The Beekeeper of Aleppo’ was such an emotional roller coaster of a book, but I loved it. It was sitting on my shelf for far too wrong but it turns out that it matches it’s hype. It’s a sensitively written account on one man’s journey from Syria to Britain as a refugee. There’s also a lot of mention of bees, including a pet bee, which was a bonus! 🐝
My review for ‘Skyborn’ is here: https://wordywitterings.com/2021/05/13/book-review-of-skyborn-by-sinead-ohart/

What I’ll be reading next
I’m not making any plans for what to read next. I’ve got so many physical books, ebooks and audiobooks stacked up that I’m not too sure what I’ll go for next.
I have The Beekeeper of Aleppo on my TBR… hmmm… this makes me want to start with it soon.
