WWW Wednesday – Wednesday, 7th July 2021

This weekly challenge is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words.  All you need to do to participate is to answer these three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What have you recently finished reading?
  • What will you be reading next?

This post features links to the mentioned books on Amazon. If you choose to buy one by clicking on my links, I’ll get a small commission at no extra cost to yourself. Thank you!

What I’m currently reading

I started reading and ARC of ‘How to Kill your Family’ by Bella Mackie a few nights ago, and it’s great so far. I’m super excited about starting ‘The Appeal’ by Janice Hallett in bed tonight, and I’ve currently listening to an audiobook of ‘My Cousin Rachel’ by Daphne Du Maurier.

What I recently finished reading

I finished lots of books in the fortnight since my last WWW post: ‘Between Sea and Sky’, a middle grade dystopian novel by Nicola Penfold (my review is here); ‘Cujo’ by Stephen King; ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ by Holly Jackson; ‘A Line to Kill’ by Anthony Horowitz (my review is here); and ‘The Wizards of Once’ by Cressida Cowell.

What I’ll be reading next

I’m not quite sure, really, although a trip to an actual bookshop last week means that the TBR pile has grown once again. My school has broken up for the summer break today, so I’ve got eight glorious weeks to try and get some writing done, and that’s going to be my priority.

Have a great week of reading, everyone!

  1. An actual bookshop! How exciting! I’ve been to a few charity shops and spent my book tokens from Christmas and birthday on bookshop.org but haven’t been in an actual bookshop yet.

I read My Cousin Rachel in May and it was pretty unputdownable, though the beginning scene was a bit of a tough read!
