Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
I’ve read 87 books this year – a personal record – and I’ve read some really fantastic books, both new and old. This is a list of my favourite reads this year. There are far more than ten here, but I guess I’ve been lucky in choosing books that I’ve really liked this year – either that or after two years of hiding from covid and ‘hybrid teaching’, books have a been a huge joy and escape from the ‘new normal’.
I’ve listed my favourite books in the order in which I read them.
If you’d like to see what else I’ve been reading, please checkout my GoodReads profile here.

1. ‘The End of Men’ by Christina Sweeney-Baird.
2. ‘The Beekeeper of Aleppo’ by Christy Lefteri.
3. ‘Hamnet’ by Maggie O’Farrell.

4. ‘The 57 Bus’ by Dashka Slater.
5. ‘The Radleys’ by Matt Haig.
6. ‘Circus of Wonders’ by Elizabeth Macneal.

7. ‘I Found You’ by Lisa Jewell.
8. ‘Under The Whispering Door’ by T. J. Kline.
9. ‘The Night She Disappeared’ by Lisa Jewell.

10. ‘Amanda in Malta: The Sleeping Lady’ by Darlene Foster.
11. ‘The Stars’ Tennis Balls’ by Stephen Fry.
12. ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

13. ‘The Guest List’ by Lucy Foley.

I’d love to hear your recommendations for books to look out for in 2022. The TBR pile is already stacking up, and I’m excited to get stuck into another great year of reading.
Reading 87 books is amazing!! Well done. You read some awesome books. The Bee Keeper of Aleppo is on my TBR list. Seeing Amanda in Malta on the list made my heart sing. Thanks so much.

I just read The Appeal and enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to Richard Osman when I can get a hold of him – the library hold list is long! I just finished Braiding Sweetgrass, which I’m sure will be on my Best of 2022 list. Cheers and happy reading.
